Remove Autorun.inf Virus without an Antivirus Software Installed On Your System
Just follow these simple steps and this virus will be removed from your system
Symptoms of this virus Named as: AUTORUN.INF
Each disk of your computer opens in a separate window and when you change the options still it’s the same behavior even the options menu is also corrupt.
Follow My Steps:
1. Reinstall Windows XP on your machine by formatting the drive C.
2. Once windows xp is installed don’t open My Computer, just right click on it and click on Explore,
3. Now windows Explorer is open, click on tools...Folder options….view tab….click on “show hidden files and folders Uncheck “Hide extensions for known file type “and the second one just below it.
4. Now expand Drive C, You will see to files “autorun.inf” and “ravmon.inf” delete both of them , follow the same method for all drives , also empty these files from Recycle Bin..
5. For confirmation of files deletion, using windows search, search these files in your system by selecting include hidden files and folders option.
6. Restart your machine , your computer is free from autorun.inf virus now
